As a young boy in the early 70s,
I'd stay up late with my Dad on
Saturday nights to watch "Sinister Cinema." It featured reruns of
old
scary movies, hosted by Victor Ives and his friends, "Head" and
"Ravenscroft." The show included a short serial, followed by a double feature, usually a "classic" film and one "B" film. This was pre-cable/satellite TV, even pre-VHS, so
you
had to watch it when it was on. It's one of my fonder memories of
childhood. (Of course, I had a strange childhood.) Below is
a short clip from the show.
