Alan Scott finds a strange lantern glowing with a green light. Built from a strange, fiery meteorite in ancient China, the lantern has amazing powers. Scott creates a ring from a piece of the lantern and, through his will power, is able to fly, pass through solid objects and do other amazing feats. He designs a costume and becomes the super crimefighter, the Green Lantern. He is a founding member of the Justice Society of America. |
Hal Jordan, a fearless test pilot, finds a crashed spaceship in the desert. Its occupant, the dying alien Abin Sur, gives him a green ring and a battery of power. Inducted into the Green Lantern Corps, defenders of the universe, Jordan combines his fearless will with his new powers to protect the Earth from evil. He is a founding member of the Justice League. Later, he will face madness and battle the heroes of the universe. |
