SHE-HULK!

Jen Walters, attorney-at-law and cousin to Bruce Banner (aka the Incredible Hulk), is shot and nearly killed by criminals. Banner saves her life through an emergency blood transfusion, although he is well aware of the dangers his gamma-irradiated blood may pose. Walters survives, but soon learns that, like Banner, strong emotions tranform her into the Savage She-Hulk.

Later, Walters' powers mutate further and she finds herself permanently in her She-Hulk form. However, this also brings a change in She-Hulk's personality, giving her more control over her emotions and Walters' full intellect. As the Sensational She-Hulk, she joins the Fantastic Four during the Thing's absence. Now She-Hulk serves as a member of the Avengers.
